Picnic Areas

Picnic area Burnham

Picnic area at Riverside Park, Burnham on Crouch near to the beach

While there are many places in the Dengie Hundred that are suitable for a picnic there are several dedicated picnic areas with tables etc.

The most popular areas are at Burnham on Crouch but some of the quieter locations can be even more enjoyable.

Bradwell on Sea

Bradwell Parish Field to rear of Village Hall, South Street

Burnham on Crouch

One of the areas is near the children's play area near to the Dengie Hundred Sports centre.

The best area is on the plateau section of the park overlooking the river and Yacht Harbour.

To get to either picnic area by car turn into Millfields from Station Road        (Next to Burnham Library). Park your car in Shoppers Car Park area immediately in  Millfields and then walk to  the first Picnic area which is about 100 yards on the left.

For the second picnic area continue along Millfields for about 400 yards until you reach a car park. Park there and follow a signed footpath up an incline to the plateau and the picnic area.
